How/when do you ask for feedback after interview

I’ve been ghosted by a company after the second interview.
It’s happened before with other companies, I’m not that surprised anymore.

It’s most likely they will have gone with another candidate, however this time I’d like feedback on how to improve as I thought I had done okay. When/how should I ask for this, as doubt they’ll even send a rejection email

Normally pretty much straight away after the rejection, which isn't easy as you're still dealing with the emotions of the rejection. It always makes me angry that you're supposed to sit and listen to feedback whilst feeling like crap (,sorry, it's happened to me this week and I'm feeling rubbish)

I’m sorry to hear that, I hope you find a better opportunity very soon.

In this case, the recruiter hasn’t said anything not even an automated rejection email. Not sure if I can still ask for feedback or if it’s too awkward

I really would like to know how I could have improved though
