I no longer work for my old financial organisation a building society. I met up with an old colleague who told me she was selling IT equipment belonging to our old work, I told her she should return as it was part of contact on termination to return. But she laughed and said because work were stupid and didn’t chase it up no one would find out she also thought it was her right as she said work treated her appallingly whilst their she raised employment grievance and got a settlement. Again all what she told me. My dilemma is should I report my concern via their whistleblowing policy, I can do this anonymously and all my old employer to investigate chase up if they want. Just by doing nothing I feel complicit in her committing theft.
