Silent Hostility

There’s a colleague at work who is irritating me. She doesn’t engage in conversation, her responses are curt. Doesn’t greet me good morning but will do so with other colleagues. I’m documenting things to prove the pattern of her behaviour. It’s upsetting though. She seems to be committed in thinking ill of me. Advice would be appreciated

How much do you actually have to work with her?

You are documenting things? Do you mean she wont talk to you about work or just general conversation because if it is the former then by all means go higher up but the latter then leave it. Nobody HAS to have conversations with people in a work setting about anything other than work.

3days a week

Does she engage with you on work matters? If so then you don't really have anything to complain about. Unless there are other issues between you, it's absolutely her right to keep it professional.

I agree no-one HAS to converse, but she’s definitely excluding me, and her attitude is hostile. Very, very curt and brusque. Rolls eyes, shakes head when I speak etc. I’m starting to feel censored in the office because of her responses to me.

That would possibly count as bullying anyway I guess. I work with a woman I cannot stand and will only answer her if the question is about work but shes one of them born again religious people who witters on incessantly about religion so technically shes harassing me when she speaks at me. I just ignore her though.

I would advise carrying on making your notes of events, just in case the situation escalates. No harm in keeping notes, as long as they are secure and no-one could accidentally find them.
Meanwhile, make a conscious effort to treat her exactly like you treat everyone else, so that she can't turn the tables and accuse you of being unpleasant to her.

Focus on your own job rather than engage with office politics.
