Photos on work website

My new workplace has staff photos on their company website. I don't want my photo on there, so is it reasonable for me to refuse?

Not unreasonable in my opinion, but I hate photos of myself and would refuse.

You don’t need to create a big drama about it.

Simply drop HR a like before starting to say you note that there are staff photos on the website and you would like it noted that you don’t wish to do this for personal reasons.

Yes, my workplace put photos of staff on their website & also facebook - I told my manager I didn’t want my photo putting on either. They weren’t very happy, but they did respect my wishes.

I'm surprised how many people do not object. Surely lots of people have estranged family/exes/weirdos who they would rather didn't know anything about their lives including where they work/new role.
