hoping someone can offer some advice.
im on a fixed term contract with an nhs trust that was due to end on 31st march 2025 due to the substantive post holder returning. However I was pregnant so in line with trust policy my contract was extended to allow me to take full maternity leave, my maternity leave/contract is due to end early march 2026.
early 2025 before I went on maternity leave I was made aware via a teams meeting that my fixed term contract would be ending for the reasons above. This was in a catch up meeting with my line manager.
I later met with my manager and HR to discuss the extension of my contract to cover maternity and to be advised that I would be placed on the redeployment register 12 weeks before the end of my contract.
my contract now ends in 7 weeks and I have had no contact from work. I text my boss to find out what was happening and he said he was waiting for me to contact him? And that I need to speak to HR.
I’ve emailed Hr who said that they can add me to redeployment and a member of her team would be in contact. This was last Tuesday, and I have not been contacted since. I chased again on Thursday but have had no response.
I emailed my union rep who said that it is the trusts responsibility to contact me but other than that weren’t much help. As I’m getting no response from anyone I’m not really sure where to go with this, can anyone help?
