Quiet place for a confidential work call in Leeds city centre?

I’ll be travelling into Leeds for the day for a family event and need to take a one-hour work call during the day. It needs to be quiet and confidential, so cafés aren’t really suitable.
I’m not staying overnight, so no hotel room to retreat to.
I’ll be roughly around Whitehall Road / Wellington Place, walkable from Leeds Station.
Does anyone know of:

  • somewhere you can hire a quiet room by the hour
  • coworking spaces that allow short bookings
  • libraries / business centres with private rooms
Happy to pay — just need somewhere calm and professional for an hour. Any suggestions gratefully received! 🙏

The central library has working spaces but I think its all open plan so wouldnt be suitable for a call. Hopefully someone else will come along who knows of a place you can book a meeting room for an hour.

Try Cubo (Wellington Place)

I really miss the Virgin Money lounges. Used to use Edinburgh and Glasgow all the time for work calls.
Worth trying big hotels in the city centre as they sometimes have business centres that can be used by non residents too.

There are a couple of Wizu coworking spaces in Leeds that might let you rent a space for an hour. They have small rooms and phone booths.

Why not go to the Queen’s hotel, in City Square, and sit in the bar/lounge? (I'm assuming they still have those?)

This company might be worth contacting

Thanks everyone! Theres a few there for me to look into. In terms of sitting in a hotel lounge, as we'll be discussing sensitive information that wouldnt be appropriate for this particular call unfortunately but its a good shout if I get caught again in Leeds!
