Just looking for a hand hold really. I applied for and had 2 interviews in quick succession for a job pre Christmas and was notified on New Year’s Eve that I will still in the running for the role and it was now between myself and another candidate and that they would would be in touch this week regarding the next steps for the 3rd and final round. It got to the end of today and I hadn’t heard from them. I’ve now just seen on their careers site the job reposted with deadline of end of month. I’ve not been sent a formal rejection by them either yesterday or today and I’ve been refreshing my emails constantly. I sent them a follow up email as soon as I saw the job posting this afternoon (didn’t mention I’d seen the job repost). I’m just so absolutely gutted and annoyed they couldn’t have the decency to formally reject me before reposting the role. I’ll obviously get it tomorrow so I guess I can emotionally prepare myself for it tonight. It’s definitely the role I applied for and not another one with the same title etc. What a gut punch start to 2026!
