Payday December or schools

Does anyone else work in a school or know someone that does and doesn't get paid until next week? A lot of us were expecting to be paid today. This is the first year, they haven't paid us on the last day of term and it's annoyed a lot of staff. We also have a new head.

What is your regular pay date?

I provide guest lectures in a university, usual pay period is 1st to 31st but paid on the 25th. Paid today as last day of term so payroll staff off for upcoming fortnight.

I’m not in a school. I’m in a university and am getting paid on 24th ( usually 31st)dec. DH works in FE and was paid on 18th (usually 26th). It’s a pain when the pay is too early because it makes January incredibly long.

We're getting paid tomorrow. Are you Local authority because it will be them setting the pay date I think rather than anything to do with your new head.
