Christmas Presents for Team

I normally buy each of my team a small Christmas gift of a £10 voucher and card each as a small token of thanks. I have always had UK based teams up until this year where I now have a team spanning the world - New York, Sydney, Dublin, Milan, London. I have 8 direct reports this year vs the 4 last year.

Any ideas on a small gift for each that can be done remotely and is equitable given the varied locations? Or is just an emailed card from a moonpig with an individual message the best thing this year? Any thoughts?

Could you get them some form of online voucher?

Amazon springs to mind.

I don’t think it’s necessary to do gifts for direct reports unless you’re very senior and then £10 doesn’t really cut it.

In your circumstances I would write personal cards with a heartfelt message of appreciation.

I had thought about this, just wasn’t sure how much to buy in line with local currency etc.

I wouldn’t bother for such a small amount. I’ve been in this situation and ending up having to source something different in each country / EU to avoid custom charges for the recipients.

Amazon voucher doesn’t work as for eg. Germany you have to join Amazon Germany, you can’t just use UK Amazon. And you can’t join Amazon Germany as it requires a different phone number to your UK account.
