Home printer recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good, small, home printer?

Ive had an HP for four years and NEVER been able to get satisfactory prints out of it. At the moment, its printing everything in green, despite printing a tip-top test page. The app says everything is cool until i go into test mode, when it says 'printer, what printer?' You have no printers registered.

Support is useless and I'm at the stage now where I want to replace it.

I only print five or ten pages per day (B&W), budget is £200 but flexible.

Get a budget laser printer if all you want is black and white. HP, Canon or Brother are all ok. I've got a Samsung that just sits and works, unfortunately they don't make printers anymore, I think they sold the business to HP. Toner cartridges are expensive if you buy a the manufacturers but the oem copies I've used have all been fine. You should get 2000 pages+ from a full cartridge, the starter one with the printer is usually only part full.

We have this one - https://www.ryman.co.uk/brother-hl-1212w-wireless-mono-laser-printer. I’ve been very pleased with it. Got fed up of having to deal with colour cartridges when we only ever print B&W.
