Lost confidence around applying for work

Hi, I’m looking to change my work to use my recent training. I used to be good at doing CVs and applications but I’m trying to break into a sector that’s new to me (healthcare/wellbeing practice) and I’m not sure how to write my cv or cover letters. There are a few positions around, which I would like to apply for even without much hope, and maybe write speculatively to places as well. Could anyone advise me please either how best to go about this, or where to get support?

I feel a bit out of date and hopeless at the application part, although I do believe I could do the work well if I get a place.

I ran my old CV through chat gpt asking it to modernise it, in terms of structure wording and layout and it was fantastic! I’d hire me from it! Give it a try?

You need to look at the skill set they want and tailor your CV to the academic side and tailor you letter to the soft skills can do attitude side
