Returning post mat leave - does it get easier?

I've a 14month old DD and returned to work about 10 weeks ago. I was moved to a different work focus which was fine with the team about half the same, half new. I'm full time but using annual leave to work 3 days for a few months. 1 day in office, 2 at home.

However I've found my anxiety levels are through the roof. I feel a lot less confident. I worked many evenings when DD was asleep, but then tried to just stay within my hours for a while, but either way work is in my mind (and dreams annoyingly) so much - but not in a practical way, more a general anxious way.

I'm thinking I'm going to request going formally to 3 days, as I'm hoping that will feel more doable - even if I get moved to a less interesting area. They might refuse the request but I'd rather know now and can look elsewhere if need. But I'm worried my ability to work efficiently and confident is down the drain now - how did others find it? Does it get easier? Did you find putting mental boundaries in place got easier?

1 day a week in the office is tricky if only working 3 days a week as it is. And in a different work focus.

Will lYou have more time in office when back to full time?
