Absence review meeting

Hi all, I’m currently off work and have been for 12 weeks, due to a fall which resulted in a really bad cut to my shin, it has been slow in healing, and it’s just about closed fully. But my issue is pain in my foot/ankle which is ongoing, doctors think it may be nerve related but no concrete diagnosis as of yet, I do have an appointment at the fracture clinic coming up. I work in a kitchen so I haven’t been able to return as of yet due to the pain in my foot, as I’m required to be on my feet. I had a OH assessment last week, and they said I shouldn’t return yet, as there was no light duties or modifications that could be made. But now my manager has sent me a letter for an absence review meeting. Should I be worried? And What should I expect?

I don't think you need to be worried. Your employer has a duty to make sure that you are ok while off sick and still need to be off sick. If it is clear there is no way you can return to your duties yet, and no way duties can be altered to suit your needs, then I think they will just accept there isn't the option for you to return yet!
