Thoughts on starting my own cleaning business?

I've been feeling fed up with my full time office job lately, sitting at a desk all day and have been wondering about setting up my own cleaning business as an alternative. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me? Pros & Cons, do's and don'ts? Is it worth it? What is the going rate?

£22 per hour , home counties . Need to factor in materials, travel and insurance.

We pay £20 an hour in North Somerset, if that’s helpful. I couldn’t do it, it’s very physical and during the hot summer I have no idea how our cleaner kept going.

Do you mean just you, or trying to employ other people? Every time I clean my own house, I think ‘I couldn’t clean 3 of these a day, 5 days a week’… no holiday pay, no pension, people cancelling last minute… it wouldn’t be for me, so I’d say be careful what you wish for.
