Relocation for job

Hi, need some advice please, I have a friend who is a nurse and whose husband is an accountant, she currently works with the NHS in London, however her husband got two high paying jobs, one in Chester and another in Northern Ireland, she is looking at the prospect of moving and getting another job with the NHS however she is worried about which location would be better overall especially as she has kids also, she is also concerned about the possibility of getting another job.

Do we have mama’s in both cities? Please what are your thoughts?

Northern Ireland isn’t a city!!
parts of NI are beautiful and housing can be cheap but it’s not somewhere I’d personally want to live.
chester is lovely, would happily live there. Easy access to north wales and north west, decent train connections, under an hour to Manchester airport….

Chester is a really nice city. As PP said it’s accessible from much of north west England, minutes into north wales. Motorways are good, often congested, train links could be better but there are a quick and slow routes to Liverpool. Lots of hospitals, Countess, Arrowe Park, Maelor within easy reach. I find Chester people quite friendly. It’s pretty and there are lots of areas within or around the city I’d be happy to live in.
Ive only visited NI but as an outsider I found the culture very different and was quite shocked at some things. You would have to visit to get a view on that and see if it’s something that you would be comfortable with.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and advice, she and her family have now decided to opt for the job in chester, thankfully they are willing to support them with relocation also, I’m hoping they enjoy their time in Chester x
