How to approach bonus discussions

Long story short.

I transferred to different department of my company to set up a new business and a bonus scene was agreed upon, think around 1.5k every quarter if I met expectations and I have this in writing.

I started in July and unfortunately got very ill in October (hospital).

I don't expect a full bonus, but was is reasonable to request? And how on earth do I ask?

Just ask how you've met expectations for the 3 month period.

Bad luck that you've been ill but you've either met your bonus target or you haven't surely?

Assuming you haven't, then I'd take a view as to whether you think you can catch up over the course of the rest of the financial year and ask that if you exceed to a point where you over deliver, you can recoup your lost bonus.

If you are now finding that the target set was entirely unachievable, that's a different negotiation.

Deadline was 30.11.

Before that I was smack on track on getting lots of positive feedback
