Verbal job offer/other interviews

After a lot of hard work, applications, rejections, disheartening weeks etc, I got a verbal job offer for the job I really wanted yesterday (and am estatic), its been followed up by email confirming my acceptance. I've been told the formal offer pack should arrive within the week. I had an interview lined up for next week. I read here not to hand in notice until you have the contract but would it be risky to withdrawal from this interview if I haven't got the formal offer pack from the firm job offer yet. Possibly overthinking as its been a slog but I don't want to waste their time or go through more interview stress unnecessarily.

Go for the interview. You don’t have a formal offer yet and haven’t seen the terms and conditions. No need to stress about the next interview, just see it as more practice. And you aren’t wasting their time - you’re keeping your options open. Perhaps you’ll get an offer after the other interview and like it more!

The t&c and salary offer have been discussed and has always been a dream job for me so whatever happened in the second interview I know the current offer is who I'd go with.

Up to you. It depends a bit on the job but verbal job offers do get rescinded for all sorts of reasons.

Until you have sent back signed contract, continue on as if you haven’t had the job offer. Anything can happen.
