Any nurses managed to pivot careers and leave nursing behind

I am a burnt out advanced nurse practitioner in a doctor's surgery I've tried moving into different roles but to be honest the NHS is under a lot of pressure.

G.Ps just put more and more on to you and delegate everything to you all the complex stuff they can't be bothered to deal with etc. Work is full on with no admin time to complete referrals review blood results etc. Trying to provide the best service or treatment to patients is difficult as everyone tries to fob everything off. I don't think other nursing roles are necessarily better.

I need a new career I've tried applying to pharma but never get short-listed.

I wondered if there are any nurses on here who have successfully changed careers without having to drop pay too much and start at bottom again, I have kids mortgage etc and cannot take a pay cut.

Any ideas would be helpful thanks

Me. Stayed in the NHS but moved across to strategy. Im an 8a and although I am busy, have to chair national meetings, write huge documents, present at conferences etc. Its miles easier, no one is at risk of dying and I completely switch off after work.

@Brendathebear what is strategy and any tips for getting into it?
