Privileged problem - before anyone starts I’m aware it’s a nice problem to have. I’m the most senior accountant at my law firm on c£125k. The problem is I am beyond bored at work. , I’ve analysed everything which way I can think off , but I’d say there’s 15 -20 hours a week of work to to without stepping on others toes. I like to make a difference I feel like I’m there for a crisis otherwise largely pointless

That is why you are there. If the shit hits the fan you're there. Otherwise you're basically on a retainer. Can you learn a language or take a good book?!

If not learning new skills, can you do any voluntary stuff? Is there a women's network or something? Mentoring younger members of staff? Start a Toastmasters club to help people improve their public speaking? School governor?

What does your day involve? Is there other areas in the business you can lend your skills too?
