Do you love your job?

I am early 50s and currently job hunting. Want to leave my current corporate job due to politics; however I think I am looking for the perfect job. Here are some of my requirements:

No corporate environment. Transparent and honest bosses
Nice colleagues, good working atmosphere, opportunity to socialise a bit
Interesting work but not too stressful or too much overtime
Dynamic and Vibrant. Not boring or slow pace
Hybrid, flexibility
Good salary and benefits
Convenient location
Medium size, not too large or too small
Varied role

Am I dreaming?

Do you enjoy your job? Are you passionate about it or is it just something you do to pay the bills?

It maybe a possibility; as long as I have an office to go to and people to talk to

That’s where a co-working space is perfect. I’ve met so many lovely people.

Yes I do. Pay is rubbish, especially considering what I do and the responsibilities I have, but I love my clients, I know I'm making a difference, it's building my confidence and I can gain more qualifications.

You may be dreaming OP but I hope not.

My job takes over my life, by necessity mostly.

Some days I absolutely hate it, some days I love it but I can’t imagine not doing it anymore.

I love my job as a special education teacher in an international school in Europe. However, I am currently overworked and am feeling totally burnt out and undervalued…

I love aspects of my job, the hours are great, I have a supportive team, I run my own diary and every day is different. It’s also a pretty fascinating job, I’m a nosey people watcher 😁.

I work in drug and alcohol addiction services (recovery)

I love my job and I love the people I work with. Of course theres some aspects I would love to change (a bit more flexibility (I do have some) and the option to work from home occasionally would make it perfect) but I look forward to going into work.

It is nice to hear so many people love what they do for a living

I am quite neutral about mine! It's corporate, reasonably well paid, hybrid and my colleagues are nice. It doesn't have much by way of social impact, and sometimes the hours are long depending on the time of year. I work for the money - if I didn't have to I'd be out of there with bells on. But for a job it's alright.
