Apps/Services to help manage Annual Leave in a SME?

Does anyone use an app/website to help manage staff annual leave? We have 15 people in the business and have always used spreadsheets to manage annual leave but that's not really working anymore and I've been looking in to alternatives. A friend has recommended 'Leave Dates' but I was wondering if there were any other options out there that I should consider?

Thank you!

Bigger company, but we use Timetastic, which is really good.

What will it do that a spreadsheet doesn’t? Just because it’s paid for doesn’t mean it’s better. I’m not a fan of spreadsheets but we have one because on the app you can only see your own team (I’m a manager) but I need to see the whole, wider team picture sometimes and I can only get that on the spreadsheet.

if the issue is people not filling in the spreadsheet then an app won’t solve that. We now have an annual leave spreadsheet, a team planner to show where people are working across our multiple sites (which has annual leave on too), plus the app 😭🤯

I also use timetastic and it does the job

If you already use Xero for your payroll or accounts, it’s also got a holiday booking feature…

We use BreatheHR we are <20 people and one team so everyone is visible. It is much better than our old spreadsheet, it has an app so you can access it any time to see how much leave you have left not just when you have access to a spreadsheet, it also sorts out all the peculiarities of part time workers allowances etc, (I'm not the admin but am part time and this is easier).

YouManage is quite good.

I would check tje software you use for payroll first. Most have something for managing leave.

We use annualleave.com which works pretty well

I'm looking for something with a centralised calendar that staff can view/use from their phones really - only a few of us work at a PC and those who can't easily view the spreadsheet are a bit in the dark about who is on Annual Leave. (There is a BIG wall planner which is totally up-to-date but nobody ever looks at it!)

It had never occured to me to look at the Xero add ons - thank you very much!
