Limit to claimed hours, job taking longer

I’ve worked casually for a long time, with experience my assignments have become the more complex ones. The team are allocated assignments over the year.

The simpler ones are easily done within the claim limit or less. I keep though being passed ones that have factors that mean they take longer. In addition they also tend to come with follow up emails and contacts that make my work bitty, rather than a neat one-off time block to claim for (which for other it is). For example it’ll involve multiple senior leaders, a range of settings etc. A simple assignment involves one setting and no senior contacts.
I’d like to say I only want to only take the simple assignments now. This will impact the team but I’m working both longer to complete tasks than I’m actually paid for and my part-time role is involving daily contacts most weeks. It’s also pretty emotionally draining work due to the sensitive issues involved. I want to draw a line.
How would you approach or phrase this? Other than just applying for alternative jobs…
