Care work shift patterns

Hi all I'm looking for some advice. I've been out of work for a while been a stay at home mum and now my youngest is older I've been looking to go part time. I'm interested in care of children or elderly and have done online courses during COVID to gain more knowledge. However most working hours in care are impossible for me to do. My partner works shifts so one week early one week late and I'm the only one to pick up DD from school. A care position popped up yesterday so I emailed them and they stayed they work rota shift of 7.00am -2.30pm, 8.00am-3.00pm and 2.30pm-10pm, 3.00pm-10pm. now I didn't want to ask because I don't want to sound silly so thought I'd rather sound stupid on here rather than an employer I may work for lol. Does this mean it would be one week of an early shift and one week of a late shift or could it mean 2 days early 2 days later for example. I will contact them and ask if I need to buy just don't want to sound stupid. Can anyone help? My idea is working around my partner's times so childcare is easier. Thanks

Oh and it is for 23 hours a week.

Just ask - there is nothing stupid about asking for clarification of the rota pattern!

Have you considered relief/bank social care work? That way you can pick and choose the shifts you want to do.
