Considering a career break but unsure?

Recently started a new job (3 months) and I've found the job to be slightly challenging but with the added pressure of kids house etc it's becoming even more difficult. I have two kids 2 year old and a 1 year old. We have a nanny who comes once a week and then me and my husband tag team so it's been hard! Im
considering taking a career break 6 months 1 year to look after myself kids and be a SAHM. I'm just nervous how this will affect my future prospects for when I want to apply again. I work in procurement buyer in public sector and I do enjoy my job but it's getting really hard. I feel like I can't do anything right. Being a mum or working.

Are you full time?

If so it will be really hard, they need to be in nursery or nanny more days. You can't work without stress or completely effectively in my opinion. 1 and 2 year olds are a full on, full time job to look after.

I am full time my older job was part time
but that had its own issues. Controlling management compulsory office days didn't have an option but to leave especially with redundancies around the corner. Even though my eldest is in nursery I'm very tempted to have a break.
