Help! I don’t know what to do when I grow up!

Can anyone help with ideas of jobs/job titles to go for?

I have a 2:1 degree in an English related field. I’ve worked in schools/education support roles while my kids were young but I need a change and a non term time role that pays a proper wage! I also need a role where I will have adult contact as this is severely lacking in the education world.

I’m thinking office based. But where do I start? Agencies? Just feels tough and wish I could win the lottery instead.

any ideas? I’d love to earn 30 k if possible - I’m early 40s.

Hello,

I'd start by getting a CV together and looking at Indeed and other job boards. You could set up a profile on LinkedIN but I dont think this is necessary and would depend on level of role you want.

Job titles could be Administrator, Co-ordinator, Customer Service. You will have lots of transferable skills to highlight so focus on what you want and can do.

Keep an eye out for local recruitment fairs and speak to family and friends to try to open up your network.

Good luck! X
