Covid two days into new job

Hi!
I have just started a new job and tested positive for Covid. My job involves walking an average of 8 miles a day and I’m meant to be in tomorrow. I have a fever of 40 degrees and bunged up nose, bad head etc.
I know I shouldn’t go in, but will it look terrible as I’m brand new? I feel awful but work in close proximity to others during the day too.

Call them and explain you have Covid. They won’t want it spread to others. Be apologetic and if it’s shift based work offer to make the time up when you’re better
