I’ve been with the same company for three years, with steady promotions and pay rises. I have a mid-senior role on a high-performing team bringing in lots of revenue.
Last year, I was given a new contract and clearly told that the notice period - from post-probation to five years service - was being increased from one to two months.
I’ve been given an updated contract, which now states the same notice period has increased to three months.
nothing was mentioned when the contract was revised this time. I do realise the onus is of course on me to carefully read the contract, but why mention the increase notice period last year, but not this time?
And is it normal for notice periods to increase twice within the first 5 years of service? Thanks
