Grievance

My manager’s manager at work said she needed to speak to me so last week so we did a teams call. No pre warning about the issue. She was trying to grill me and I can’t answer properly on the spot without looking into the issue. She kept talking over me too and not listening.

After that she reported me and others to HR. HR sent an invite for a meeting to attend and told me what the issue was about. As they gave me 24 hours notice I have been able to look into the issue and prepare a report and I am not responsible for the issue.

I feel like putting in a grievance and against this manager. I am so angry and this disrespect and maliciousness. In the past but not often other managers have always been respectful and advise what the issue is beforehand.

Thats sounds horrible and frustrating. If you do raise a grievance, make sure you talk about managers actions and the impact on you, follow your policy as closely as you can and be prepared for them to expect you to try informal routs first.

Is this related to the investigation or something separate?

This is the same investigation. I had the meeting with HR and the person investigating. They said they didn’t know this manager had spoken to me. They seem like one of those managers who likes to set people up.
