Colleague over helpful

I work with three other colleagues and one of them I find too helpful. One example, an email came into our shared box, I put my name against it to action. It was a worker who was off sick and required her appointments cancelling. I cancelled them both replying to the worker vis email to confirm this had been done. It usually takes 3 mins for the copy to show back as done in the box. My colleague then messaged me she’d just seen there was two cancellations and did I want her to do the second one? Almost like I’d not seen it or something. I replied back I’d done it, so no thank you.

The action was marked with my name against it clearly, and I find it annoying she has to look at my work is correct to. Any advice on how to deal with her?

You're annoyed she was offering to take on a shared task?
It's not like she was getting in involved in your individual work?

It wasn’t a shared task. It was one task I’d picked up and put my name against.

She doesn’t sound too helpful, she sounds like she lacks diligence if she didn’t spot that you’d already sorted it. But also this shared inbox sounds like it’s playing havoc with your workflow. Can you go to management with a proposal for a better workflow where you both separately have clear work to do?

Tbh my name was clearly against it. Because the cancellations required two separate emails as regards the cancellations she must have thought I’d only done one of them (slow system) but all she needed to do was pick up something else in the box before trying to involve herself in my work. She does like to double check my work, although I’ve no idea why.
