I’m not talking about with any money in it (I absolutely would never expect that!) but I was taken a back that I didn’t get a signed work card from my closest colleagues. We’ve had two weddings in the last 3 years and we’ve always got one for other people (whether we’ve been invited or not).
for reference, the receptionist also usually passes around a generic card whenever someone has a wedding and people write personal messages , but I didn’t get this. And then I thought ‘ well ok you don’t need the whole office to sign because that’s less personal’ but I thought I got on well with my colleagues so I was a little surprised I didn’t even get a card from the closest ones.
I’m probably just being overly sensitive and should focus on my actual family and friends who are over the moon. I guess I just need to get over it, I’m not owed anything but it would be nice if they did the same for me as they have for others.
