As part of company restructure I've been offered a different position with small salary increase but huge jump in responsibility comparing the current role. There will be 30 days consultation period. Not sure what I'm asking other than any advice. What happens if I decline the job offer?

That’s a really difficult one to answer without the wider consultation information - it depends if it is a suitable alternative role or just an alternative role, how many in the pool, contractual obligations etc etc

The main point I would say is that you have been approached by the organisation so it’s perfectly reasonable for you to ask them this question and get a full response.

The only details I was given were the new job description and salary. What would the difference be between suitable alternative tole and alternative role?
