I currently work 50% hours over 5 days in a consulting role (mornings only). Due to a company restructure more of our business is coming from the US so I have been asked if I have any flexibility to work in the afternoon. It has also been mentioned that I would most likely need to increase my hours to progress to the next level.
My head is a bit all over the place over what to do. I am not opposed to increasing my hours but whatever I decide will be a contract change so set in stone and I want to get it right. I have 2 DC in final primary years but we live rurally so we have to drop and collect to school (15 min turnaround). I WFH 4 days a week and DH 3 days a week. His job is very intense though with less flexibility.
I'm wondering if I should increase to 4 full days. Would love to hear others experiences of how they manage and their working patterns. What else do I need to consider?
