Chemistry conversation?

Hi all,

I applied for an internal role within the civil service and have had a response inviting me to a 'chemistry conversation'.

Does anyone know what this is? Google seems to refer to 'chemistry coaching calls' which would be a different dynamic.

I'm assuming it's another term for perhaps an informal interview (if there really is such a thing), but as I'm uncertain, I'm really not sure what to expect and don't want to eithrt under prepare or be too formal in my answers.

Any experience/opinions/advice welcome!

This is my first interview in almost 10 years and I feel wholly out of my comfort zone.

Why can’t they call it what it is a formal meeting

I think it is basically intended to be an informal interview, a chat to see if you would get on with your the boss/team were you to get the job which would make sense if it’s an internal role.

Thanks for the responses and glad to see that the term isn't an obvious one that I should know! I'll assume it's just an informal interview but prepare more formal answers to be safe!
