Struggling with technology

I started a new job a year a go and really enjoy it. I was asked to take minutes of a meeting the other day (virtual) and all was going well until I had to dial someone in. Im useless with technology and couldn’t find how to do it. I was sat there like a fool and someone else had to do to instead.
I hate feeling so useless and I’ve already asked a million do questions. How do I overcome this?

“Getting to grips with the systems and tech, as not something I have had to do in previous position. Would it be possible to sit down with someone for half hour just to run through a couple things I’m struggling with”

Thank you. I just tend to freeze up but I’ll try this.

I haven't checked but I'm sure YouTube will have lots of tutorials on how to use MS teams for meetings.

Also try practicing using CoPilot which is the Microsoft AI assistant. Ask it to show you how to do things, using the same language that you'd use with a colleague at work.

this will help you get ahead "behind the scenes" so you don't feel quite so awkward asking lots of questions then you can save the questions for colleagues that you couldn't get answers to online.

keep a small notebook just for IT "how to" notes if you find it overwhelming to remember everything.

I do this all the time 🤭
