Interview today -Any tips?

Hello! I am a mid level employee (one level below manager/Director) in an organisation similar to the civil service. I have an interview today to move from a slightly toxic area to potentially an easier role on the same money. I am not very good at interviews, I have performed poorly before so just trying to take on all advice previously given. I just really want this job! I consider myself a good worker and always perform well in previous roles (appraisals are always good). This job is contributing to my stress levels and with a very busy homelife I need a role that suits me better.

Some of the previous feedback included be more confident and use I in examples instead of we. Be more succinct with examples. Cover all questions and know about the role interviewing for.

Any tips gratefully recieved, I met with a previous trusted manager this week to re ieve feedback on my approach.

Thanks

Have you got examples to go off the top of your head which can fit common questions (when you experienced a challenging time, teamwork, personal contributions, how you made a difference etc)? Writing these down in a STAR approach and reading them back to yourself may help with confidence in interviews, as you wont have to scramble to think of examples at the time.

Yes thank you i have four good examples written out as bullets and also verbatim which I will use depending how nervous I am at the time! Previous manager heard these and gave me tips to tighten them and bring out the answer to the question upfront then take the tike to explain it.
