I've booked a holiday over Christmas

A little while ago I posted a question on here regarding me being given an ultimatum of either 4 weeks notice that I leave my temp job or I go permanent. I chose permanent. My supervisor said hold tight in your role for now until your job is advertised then you can apply for it when the ad's out. However this was weeks and weeks ago and I've booked Christmas away now as I didn't know how long it would take to advertise. I just had an email from my supervisor who said my job's out now for applications and I'd need to apply. Will they allow me to still take Christmas off?

And now you have to apply for that permanent position?

You tell them at the interview that you have leave booked. If it's worth it to you to get the permanent job tell them enough you may be able to rearrange it. Then it's up for negotiation.

It is better that you already have the holiday booked as you can tell them that at interview and they should honour it. Is you job somewhere that needs staff working over Christmas?

Yes, it is.
