1 full day off or 2 half days?

Hi,

What are people's opinion on part time working with either 1 full day off or 2 half days?

I currently have Monday's off with my 2.5yr old. He has a day with grandparents and then 3 days at nursery for the rest of the week. Recently I have been struggling a lot with having him for a full day on my own (which I feel awful about). The mornings is lovely but the afternoons I get cabin fever being in the house and with weather turning soon it's making me so anxious.

So we thought about switching my day of to two mornings off and then afternoons with grandparents. In my head I'm like well it's still the same number of hours with me and we will likely do more together but they why do I feel so guilty considering it?

My work would likely allow it but just wondered if anyone else had any advise/thoughts or anyone else who struggles with full day alone with toddler.

Sounds like a great solution if the grandparents are happy with it (I guess they'd have to keep two days a week free rather than one). But maybe they'd prefer it too? Whole days with a toddler are hard, especially in winter!
