Feeling guilty

Does anyone else feel guilty when they get an interview? Or get cold feet about applying in the first place and start doubting themselves?

Why on earth would you feel guilty?

Yes, what do you feel guilty about?

The company won’t feel guilty when they want to get rid of you. You will be replaced in the blink of an eye. You should always put yourself first, better to learn this earlier than later.

I know, I think I’m just quite a loyal person and feel guilty going for interviews! Then the thought of having to hand my notice in if I ever get offered a job id take fills me with dread!

I haven’t felt guilty as such, but I have felt a little like I’m keeping a secret and skulking around.

I’ve mainly had corporate jobs for quite a few years each time..

it’s always felt a bit awkward to me - like knowing you’re going to leave a relationship when someone is trying to make plans!

Yes. I feel guilty, I have an interview later this week. I don't hate my job which I think is why I feel guilty but they're not going to pay me the same as this new job would.

Bonus would be if I got this job, I could apply for redundancy as I'd be leaving in the time frame for a payout at work.

Usually I don't feel guilty but then I only ever leave a job when I hate it or have been open about the fact I'm leaving (when I went to uni for example). And I've only ever worked at 4 places in my 27 year career.
