Can anyone claim job seeker allowance?

what are the requirements? Do you have to be open to any job? Is it complicated?

To claim New style JSA ( contributions based) you would need to have paid NI contributions for the past 2-3 years. I claimed it for a couple of months in 2022, they didn't really seem to ask much of me in the way of job searching but then I already had a few things in the pipeline, but things may have changed now.
