Different sized orgs

I recently got a new job at a medium sized company.

Before this I've worked somewhere small that was chaos in the sense that my manager was extremely bad. I always felt like I was a cog in a machine, there was no development, and I felt very isolated. Absolutely zero helpful support from day one.

Before that I worked somewhere very large and I was quite junior. Certain things were quite strict but I was never really exposed to higher levels and just got on with my job.

In my current role, it feels like the first place I've worked that has proper business planning. Workplans feed into strategies and there's KPIs. I've actually been given objectives.

I'm feeling slightly like an imposter as I'm only experiencing this way of working 15 years into my career, but other people have said it's a good place too. I'm learning for the first time in ages which feels good.

No real point to my post but just a reflection.
