Apply for a job if I can’t make the interview date?

I’ve seen a job I would like to apply for, however it lists the interview dates and I can’t make them, even remotely (as I will be away with little internet access).

it’s just typical as I hardly ever go away and yet now I am, this comes up!

should I apply for the role anyway, or just forget it as it will look bad to say I can’t make the dates (if I get an interview that is)

If you don’t ask you don’t get!

Could you contact them and ask if there’s any flexibility in the dates, and explain the situation?

Florally · 20/08/2025 07:45

Agree, I would contact them before applying

If I received this email I would tell you to apply anyway as we would always add an extra date for someone with a strong application.

Apply - you have absolutely nothing to lose in this situation.

Add a note to say unfortunately you'll be away from x to y but you can accommodate any other date, should your application be progressed.

Good luck!

This is exactly what you should do. Good advice.

Apply. If they like you that much they’ll find another date. Only mention date after you get the interview invite op. Good luck!
