I work in public sector and have done since I left school, at the moment I am on temp promotion for 6 months. I applied for a job to another public sector department when having a rubbish day before being told of my temp position. They have offered me the job its same grade as temp role, but larger department so more scope for promotion, at the moment I'm hybrid with no stipulations but this new job would be 2 days in office. I'm so torn I've never worked anywhere else and I know my department inside out and I have so many friends there but the prospects aren't as good! Wwyd?

Would it be too revealing to say which departments.

Personally I have found a lot that is familiar in all departments and so a permanent promotion, congratulations, would be my choice.

Two days a week in the office would only be a deal breaker if either the commute was very long or childcare/eldercare/life would be negatively impacted.
