Applying for a job on maternity - wait 4 months?

I have a final round interview for a job next week. I put I have a 3 month notice on my application, but I didn't mention I'm on maternity leave and can't start until January.

Would you wait 4 months for the right candidate? I know 3 months isn't unusual, but assuming 4 months would be pushing it? Interview process has been a lot more efficient than I thought...

I would wait until you have an offer and then negotiate then.

Yes maybe getting ahead of myself!

It’s not 4 months though, it’s 5. I would be annoyed if you didn’t mention this til offer stage and it would potentially be a dealbreaker for me and not because you’re on maternity but because I would wonder what else you’d fail to tell me until the last possible minutes if you were in my team…

I could probably return end of Dec to make it 4 months rather than 5.

Do you think I should bring it up at interview then?
