Hoping someone who works in HR / Payroll might be able to advise. I’ve emailed my payroll dpt but not expecting a quick response due to it being payday and a Friday!
So my company sick policy is 4 months sick pay followed by 4 months half pay. I’ve been off for 3 months with chronic migraines, and about six months ago had a month off as was really poorly with Covid - suspect the migraines are also linked to this but that’s another story 🤦🏻♀️ my boss recently confirmed that my full sick pay is due to end on 19th aug half sick pay then starts. I’m planning to return to work (hopefully) w/c 25/8 just waiting on occupational health appt however this date has not been confirmed
Company pay date is 15th of the month with 1-14th paid in arrears and the remainder of the month paid as an advance. I am assuming that payroll have assumed I will be off sick for rest of month however what would happen should I return before end of August? Would the adjustment go into September pay or before then? Sorry for long post and hope I’ve explained it in a way that makes sense!
