Advice on job move after a long time at the same company

I need some advice please on whether to accept a job offer.
Background: I’ve been in my corporate role at the same company for 15+ years. Im late 40s and very risk averse and dislike change. However, been feeling bored recently and job security is a bit uncertain. Internal move is a slim possibility as it’s very competitive and I don’t feel I can compete against all the new younger talent coming through. Salary £100k, 30 minute drive, 2-3 days in the office per week.
New job: very similar role at a competitor company. Slightly lower seniority but same pay. Commute into London and tube (1.5 hours each way), 2-3 days in the office per week. Better job security (for the foreseeable at least) but travel costs will be much higher.
Family situation: 2 teenagers so childcare not an issue.
I feel paralysed with indecision. Do I take the new job with a longer commute but takes me out of my comfort zone or wait until a potential internal role comes up ( and I’m successful in getting it)?
