What would be the typical office wear for a male in an accountancy firm. It would be for a recent graduate starting their first job. TIA

My husband is a finance director and he wears chinos and a shirt. Before Covid he wore a suit with no tie but everyone sort of stopped when they came back to work.

Most are deess for your day so you can wear casual clothes.

Jeans, blue or white or any colour casual shirt, navy half zip., navy or beige chinos to be a bit smarter. For an in person client meeting maybe suit trousers and a smart shirt, no tie. Can wear jacket if you want or back to navy half zip.

I’m in a big4 firm. In the office it’s smart casual. The young male grads wear suit trousers or chinos, and either dress shirts without ties or polo shirts or smart T shirts. Smart trainers are fine. Out at clients, we tend to mirror what the client‘s dress code is. That sometimes means jeans and trainers, other times means smart casual as you would be in the office. It very very rarely means a suit. Suits usually only worn by partners going to present at board meetings!
