Am I being overly sensitive?

We have a work trip with my team.
2 dates were put forward, one we could all potentially do, another everyone could do apart from me. We would have been 5 people in total going on this trip.

The date picked was the one everyone can do apart from me. I’ve had no communication on why this date was picked over the other.

im a bit miffed. I value my team and being part of my team so the fact my counterpart and our line manager have decided this without me (I’m not on any email chains or decision making threads) has made me feel very much not part of the team.

Am I being overly sensitive? Should I let it go? And if not, how can I address this with my line manager in a professional manner?

Without more info, impossible to say. Was it clear to everyone you couldn't make it? Why not ask calmly and cheerfully, saying you were looking forward to doing something with the team?

Yes - two dates were put forward in a chat that had everyone in it.
i said I couldn’t do one, but could do the other one. Everyone else said they can do both. So there shouldn’t be any misunderstanding there.

Good plan, I will say I was looking forward to doing this as a team. But do I ask why the other date was agreed on?

Yes! Say you were under the impression the other date worked for both.

It would be really bizarre if there was a good reason and they didn't tell you. And if there was no good reason, you would understandably be miffed and any somewhat functional manager would want to know that.

Any chance they saw it as just work and were just assessing whether they'll have enough staff to get the work done? (My last job had loads of trips like that.) Or was there a team-building or reward element to it?
