IT issues

At work we have started to use SharePoint. For some reason my profile is struggling to get permissions to save things. It’s getting me down now as this has been going on for 2 weeks. IT are trying to resolve it. Should I mention it to my manager in my 1-1 as it’s affecting me because I am going to have backlog of work. I feel like leaving because the new system won’t be implemented till next year June and I can’t wait till then.

Drastic reason to leave a job
Mention the issues so your manager is aware

Yes bring it up
Why is your manager not chasing IT too?

And if you can save local I would be emailing my files to the manager and asking for anything which you need (which can be emailed) to be emailed to you.

Definitely tell your manager.

we have been using sharepoint and Teams for years, and they still go very wrong very regularly. If they go wrong then we email manager/immediate team/people we’re scheduled to have meetings with to tell them we’re having issues and might not be contactable/uploading files that day.

Happens once every week or two! Just part of life. But don’t let it mean your manager wonders what is going on!

I wouldn’t wait for a 1-1.
As PP said SharePoint is ridiculously unreliable, if we’re having issues we drop the the rest of the team an email or group teams message letting them know, we often request others to download and send something through if it’s urgent and work on it offline and then someone can upload a new version for us.
its not something to leave a job over unless there are other issues not in the OP

Ask your manager to escalate and give IT a boot up the arse (says me who works in IT)
