Applying for internal role whilst on mat leave

Hi all,

My maternity leave ends soon, I'll then be taking annual leave until my return in October.
There in an internal role I would like to apply for.
Question is hypothetically, if I was to get the new role, would I have to pay back enhanced mat pay, as you usually have to return to work for three months minimum?
Employer is Local Authority, if that matters.

Thanks!

Great name! It’s very unlikely you’d have to pay anything back as you wouldn’t be leaving, but going back to the same organisation in a different role (if I’ve read correctly)

No, it will be fine if it's the same company.

I didn’t have to pay it back when I moved roles. I think it would be quite unlikely.

I went back from maternity leave in a new role and didn’t have to pay back any enhanced pay as it was just an internal move.

Thank you, ladies!

You have confirmed what I thought.
