Hi,

I would love your thoughts please on a nearly 20 year old who has just been offered an entry position in South Bank London.

His job will be hybrid (Tuesday and Thursday in the office).

He has never lived in the UK and is absolutely not street wise at all.

Where might possibly be good options of places to live-flat or house shares that are easily commutable by plane (Gatwick) and have good access to a train and tube station.

We are looking for safe, as affordable as possible-we know this could be tricky. From what I see however, where you might save on accommodation living further out, you might be paying a fortune in travel? Am I correct?

Many thanks for your thoughts.

Sorry just saw where it is! Tooting, Balham, Clapham. What’s his budget? Will he be looking at a house share?

lots of my colleagues cycle in from those areas

Clapham? Easy train access to Waterloo and Gatwick. Try openrent and spareroom.
